WHAT TYPES OF COMPANIES DO YOU FUND?

We invest in US-based healthtech and life sciences companies. Our areas of focus include biopharma tech & services, diagnostics, life sciences tools, and novel care delivery & payment models.

WHAT DON’T YOU INVEST IN?

We don’t invest in pure biotech, medical devices, or agtech.

AT WHAT STAGE DO YOU INVEST?

We typically begin our partnerships at the Seed or Series A round, but we will occasionally participate in later-stage financings.

HOW MUCH DO YOU TYPICALLY INVEST?

Our initial investments range from $500K to $3M. We also reserve funds to participate in future follow-on rounds.

DO YOU LEAD FUNDING ROUNDS?

We can lead and co-lead Seed and Series A rounds. We are also happy to be part of a syndicate.

HOW DO YOU HELP COMPANIES AFTER INVESTING?

Our role is to help founders be more successful than they would be without us. That work may include help with things like organizational design, recruiting, market research, go-to-market planning, customer introductions, and future financings. We leverage our experiences and networks to help every step of the way.

WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INITIATE VENTURES AND STUDIOS?

The studio and fund are separate entities with separate operations, but overlapping leadership. INITIATE Ventures invests in companies and INITIATE Studios co-founds companies.

DOES INITIATE VENTURES LEAD FINANCING ROUNDS IN initiate STUDIOs' COMPANIES?

No. INITIATE Ventures invests alongside outside investors who fund INITIATE Studios spin-outs.
